I know so many artists who want to create artwork for books (picture books, coloring books, planners, activity books, etc.) but keep that long-held dream in the back of their minds because they don’t know where to start.
I’m on a mission to get artists excited about creating books and show them that it’s much easier than it seems.
In the end, a book is just a PDF that you upload to a print-on-demand platform!

wait, what kind of books?
There are many different types of books that artists can self-publish, but a few of the most common are:

publishing has changed

In the “old days” artists made samples for books, pitched them to companies, and waited months (or longer) before hearing anything about their submission.
Now, artists can create books, list them for sale, and start building an audience around their books in a matter of weeks or months without ever contacting a publisher at all.
but, topics matter
Of course, artists can’t publish ANY book and see it sell like hotcakes. To state the obvious, books need to be based on trending, sellable topics in order to get noticed by buyers.
Knowledge about what is selling and trending used to be industry knowledge held by publishers, but now artists can go online and use tools to find out what is selling, and what niches are hot and undersaturated!
Check out my Amazon Author Page to see all the books I’ve published so far.
